Blitzer Residence - Bellaire
The residence is a French Provincial influenced home. The home incorporated a courtyard garden entry through antique Argentinian gates. The entrance becomes private, allowing for the yard to be incorporated with the entrance. The home is elevated to place it out of the flood plan with the primary living space on the lower level and the bedrooms up the upper level. The home has a very European feeling to it with minimalist detailing, thickened walls and porticos between spaces. Since the home is located on a busy corner, it puts its backside with minimal windows along the busy street and looks inwards, creating a retreat from the street and the neighborhood.
