Jerry Hooker is a Partner at Mirador Group and Managing Partner of Vedetta Design + Atelier, where he leads an integrated practice spanning architecture, interiors, and procurement. A Houston fixture since 2011, Jerry has been the design force behind some of the city's most distinguished projects - including The Sophie at Bayou Bend, an exclusive private estate overlooking Bayou Bend Gardens, and Giorgetti Houston, the venerable Italian furniture maker's first fully luxury-branded residential building in the U.S. His work at Mirador spans residential, multifamily, and commercial architecture, always guided by the belief that a project is only as strong as the cohesion between its moving parts.
Before returning to Texas, Jerry spent three years in New York contributing to landmark work -- the National September 11 Memorial, the World Trade Center, and the World Financial Center among them. Those projects shaped his understanding of what design can hold: memory, meaning, and the full weight of human experience. That belief has driven every decision since, including pioneering efforts to introduce premier European furnishing houses like Giorgetti, Rimadesio, and dozens of others to the Houston market. -- deepening his fluency in materials, craft, and the way objects define a room as much as the walls around them.
Through Vedetta, Jerry brings that philosophy full circle. Conceived as a design atelier where architecture and interiors are developed together rather than handed off in sequence, Vedetta reflects the way Jerry has always worked -- with the end experience in mind from the very first conversation. The result is spaces that feel complete, considered, and entirely personal to the people who live in them.
