Lily Rain
Located in the heart of Houston Heights’ emerging retail district, this 4,000 square foot project re-imagines mixed-use development at an intimate scale. As one of Texas’s smallest mixed-use apartment buildings, the two-story structure pairs Lily Rain, a women-owned, locally operated boutique clothing and gift shop at street level with a luxury three-bedroom residence above. The design prioritizes walkability, neighborhood engagement, and efficient use of a compact footprint, contributing to the evolving character of the Heights. By blending retail and residential uses in a thoughtfully scaled form, the project demonstrates how small, design-forward interventions can have an outsized impact on vibrant urban corridors.
