The Sophie at Bayou Bend
The name, Sophie, stems from the word sophistication, which inspired the essence of style presented in every detail, inside and out. Robert A. M. Stern, once said “a building’s details, materials, and social spaces should reflect their time, but they should also transcend it.” This is exactly what The Sophie at Bayou Bend stands for. Our vision for this building was to create a timeless piece of architecture that respects the site and becomes an iconic symbol of the present, past, and future.
We began by looking at art, architecture, and fashion icons throughout history that have come to represent a “classic contemporary” style that is timeless. Icons like the Chanel little black dress and classic New York apartment houses such as those of Rosario Candela gave way to the inspiration behind the architecture, interiors, and landscape architecture of The Sophie.
The vision of the Sophie is to elevate design from the outside in with uncommon attention to detail. These distinctive homes offer spacious and light-filled single-level floor plans with a range of innovative design features and include access to exclusive services and amenities. Nestled in an elite enclave, each of the thirty-nine stately condominium homes encompasses individual outdoor living spaces.
