
Krystyn Haecker, AIA is a Principal who joined Mirador Group in 2013. She contributes her talents in designing and managing luxury condominium and multi-family projects with a profound interest in a building’s contextual relationship to its environment. Her dedication and ability to manage the design team and clients have delivered successful projects like trend-setting luxury-furniture branded condominium, Giorgetti Houston, residential high-rise tower, Riva at the Park, and New York-style contemporary mid-rise, The Sophie at Bayou Bend.
Krystyn graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Environmental Design from Texas A&M University in 2011 and received a Masters of Architecture from Virginia Tech at the Washington Alexandria Architecture Center (WAAC) in 2013. During her undergraduate studies, Krystyn worked for the Texas A&M University System in the Facilities Services Construction & Renovation Department. Throughout graduate school, she worked for Cooper Carry in Washington, DC in the hospitality design studio and as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at the Virginia Tech WAAC.
Krystyn helped facilitate the establishment of the Women in Architecture (WiA) Houston committee in 2016 and served as the 2018 Committee Chair and 2017 Vice-Chair for Networking and Social Media. Her aspiration to elevate the women in her group has made a positive impact on providing a community and programming for like-minded local women.
Krystyn served on the Texas Society of Architects (TxA) Board of Directors as Vice President of Professional Development from 2021-2022. She also served on TxA Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) Committee from 2019-2020 and the TxA Convention Futures Committee from 2018-2020, and currently serves on the TxA Design Awards Committee. Krystyn was selected as a scholar for the inaugural Houston class (2018-2019) of the Christopher Kelley Leadership Development Program (CKLDP) and served as the CKLDP Sponsorship Advisor for the 2019-2020 class. She was selected as a juror on the 2019 AIA Alabama Excellence in Design Awards Jury, became LEED AP BD+C certified in 2012 and became a Registered Architect in Texas in 2015.
