Escalante's Clear Lake
For the newest location of this Tex-mex restaurant franchise, our firm was tasked with bringing a modern, luxurious aesthetic to augment the traditional style of previous restaurants. Details abound, including custom hand-carved wood panels from Mexico, custom lighting fixtures, beautiful ceilings, and a suspended custom wine glass rack. The entrance features a peekaboo window into the kitchen, with views of the tortilla station. The repeated barrel arched ceiling is accented with wood beams, tile finish, and cove lighting. The bar features a multi-dimensional wood face and quartz countertops, with a custom hammered copper foot rail. Antique mirrors and iron sconces adorn the wall above the banquette seating area in the bar. A freestanding millwork cabinet creates the divider between the bar area and the dining area, with liquor storage and televisions on one side and a guacamole station on the other side. The private dining room features a floating wood-beam ceiling and has a wood divider screen that can be used to create two separate private dining spaces.
